History

Te Awanui Hauora Trust was established in May 2003 to provide health services to the people of Matakana and Rangiwaea Islands’. Te Awanui Hauora Trust is a registered Charitable Trust. The Trust has a team of dedicated Trustees, management and staff constantly striving to provide quality services that contribute towards the achievement of Hauora for the Te Awanui community.

Our harbour Te Awanui, is presented with our Islands Matakana, Rangiwaea, Motuhoa, Tuhua and Motiti.
The three waves, water, joins us together, our uniqueness as Island.

Represents the all enveloping rays of the sun, the power of healing.

Depicts growth, rongoa.

The inner circle, represents the never ending cycle of life.
