We do our very best to provide top quality services and activities to our Koroua & Kuia.
Our main service is fortnightly transport to the mainland to do grocery shopping and other errands they may have.

Services & Activity Days at Te Awanui Hauora include -

Information Days - Health; Rongoa Maori; Incontinence; Maori Women's Welfare League.
Reminisce Days - kaumatua come and share their stories and experiences of growing up on the Island.
Kuia Pamper Days.

Kaumatua Barge Cruise

Cruise around the Tauranga Harbour & our very own Islands' on the Skookum Barge.
2008 was the first year for the Kaumatua Cruise, there was such great response from the first trip, it was decided that we would have another for 2009 which was also another success. Kaumatua really enjoy the cruise as they get to chill out and enjoy the scenery, there is also a band playing and kai provided.

Parliament Hikoi

In 2008 a bus load of Kaumatua went on a trip to Wellington. The main purpose of the trip was to visit parliament. They had an awesome time visiting sites along the way, and they stayed two nights at two Marae.
